Letter of Invitation:

Subject: Invitation to Help Researchers Understand Autism Spectrum Disorders

We are participating in a large research project aimed at Unraveling the Mystery of Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASDs). The researchers belong to the ASD - Canadian-American Research Consortium (ASD-CARC), headed by Dr. Jeanette Holden from Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario. Advances in knowledge will ensure earlier treatment and brighter futures for individuals on the spectrum and their families. Participation in their research is very simple and convenient for all of the families involved – all components of their studies can be done from home and are not time consuming. We hope that you will consider participating in this study - they are looking for families with someone with an ASD or a related condition, as well as families without anyone with an ASD (known as "control families").

If you wish to learn more or to participate, please visit www.AutismResearch.com, or call toll free within North America 1-866-273-2272, or email autism.research@queensu.ca.

Thank you from myself and the ASD-CARC researchers for considering being part of the world's largest research study on ASDs.
