Can you help us with translations?
Welcome to the Translation Project at the Autism Research Program! We are in the process of translating ASD-CARC’s website and research surveys into a variety of languages. Currently, the available languages are:
English, French, Chinese, Spanish, Norwegian, Urdu, Serbian, Filipino, Portuguese.
One of our goals is to learn about autism in different countries and cultures and, to do this, we would like to invite bilingual or multilingual families to help us. We are planning to translate our website and many of our questionnaires and studies into different languages, so that we can hear from those who do not speak English. We will do a first translation, and then we would like to invite family members to review this for accuracy and cultural sensitivity, and provide us with feedback.
We believe that families themselves are the best persons to help with this, because you know about autism and you understand the importance of providing information to other families who do not necessarily speak English. We also wish to contact other organizations and support groups who provide information in different languages and would be grateful if you would share their contact information with us.
Furthermore, if you would like to recommend another language and/or help with translation into that language, please do not hesitate to contact us by phone, fax, mail, or e-mail us at translation@autismresearch.com.
Your contributions to the translation project can help to unravel the mysteries of Autism Spectrum Disorders!
