Autism Training Program: Trainee Updates

Lindsay Arnal (University of Manitoba)

Currently working on her doctoral research proposal. She will be using computer-aided instructions to teach students and staff how to work with children with autism.
 

Patrick Malenfant (Queen's University)

Has completed his PhD and is now working for a pharmaceutical company in Montreal. He continues to be involved in preparing manuscripts with ASD-CARC. He also welcomed his first child in December 2010!

Noemie Riendeau (University of British Columbia)

Finished her BCIT training and is now working in a BC Cancer Agency as a genetic technologist.
 

Ying Qiao (University of British Columbia)

Continues to work with Dr. Evica Rajcan-Separovic on new and continuing projects with ASD-CARC.
 

Leslie Thorne
(University of Manitoba)

Completed her doctoral research this year. She examined skills that are needed to communicate one's preferences.

Kerri Walters (University of Manitoba)

Currently working on her doctoral research in psychology and she's almost done. She's teaching children with autism to understand other people's perspective.
