What is the ASD-CARC Research Registry?

The ASD-CARC Research Registry engages thousands of family members, children, and adults on the autism spectrum in ASD research. We are also recruiting for other ASD-related conditions and controls. Your participation and first-hand experience allows us to use essential data to study developmental, genetic and environmental factors important in ASD susceptibility and to better understand different ASD characteristics (phenotypes).

Through involvement with the Research Registry, individuals with an ASD and their families can take part in online research questionnaires, be contacted about new studies by ASD-CARC, and keep updated about findings by ASD-CARC's researchers. All information submitted to the Research Registry is secure, as stipulated by the ASD-CARC Privacy Policy.

Once registered, there are many ways you can help with the research:

  • For some local projects and studies in our Mobile Lab, participants can join the research in-person by volunteering to take part in one of our on-location studies;
  • To better understand the genetics of autism we need participants willing to use our simple home genetic kits to share their saliva or cheek swab samples by mail;
  • Participants may also participate by providing important data through online questionnaires. Some are Core Questionnaires that are essential to all of our research projects and others, such as Sub-grouping and Family Traits questionnaires, are specific to a particular study.

Please visit the Participate page for more information or click here to register now!
