Sharing Diagnostic Reports

Participation in each study is voluntary. However, in order to participate in these studies, we require a confirmation of an ASD diagnosis for the individual with an ASD. Since we do not usually get to see our research participants in person (and therefore not get to officially assess each individual for an ASD), we are asking families to share copies of their diagnostic reports with us by:
  • Fax: toll-free: 1-888-556-6057 or 613-548-8385
  • Mail: Autism Research Program, 191 Portsmouth Avenue, Kingston, ON, Canada, K7M 8A6 (We can send you a pre-paid postage envelope for within Canada or we can reimburse for postage outside of Canada.)
  • Email: autism.research@queensu.ca (The documents can be scanned and password protected, then send the password in a separate email.)
Please note that the information in the reports will remain confidential and the reports are stored in locked cabinets within a secure area. Copies of diagnostic reports are very important - without them, we will not be able to include your results in our study as they validate our data by ensuring that all of our participants do have a diagnosis of ASD. We will email you to confirm that we received your report so please follow-up with us if you don’t hear from us.
